INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY 2026

April 18 was a very joyful and special day for the students of Swapnadhara Secondary School. On that day, a group of enthusiastic students from the renowned Scholastica School came to Swapnadhara and celebrated Bengali New Year-1433 with our students.
This was the first official event of the organization formed by these young students. Throughout the day, songs, chats and various events created a great bond between the students of the two schools.

The team leader’s comment is given below:
“We were very happy to have our first event at this school from our organization. Every student here was very polite and well-behaved. We had a great time organizing some small games with them on the occasion of Pohela Baishakh. Initially, we were a little skeptical whether we would be able to give the students a pleasant experience or not, but in the end, seeing the smiles on their faces made us feel really worthwhile.
We were really impressed by the talent of the students! Some of them could draw such wonderful pictures that we were really surprised to see. It was also very nice to talk to them. One of them even gifted me a clay toy of his hobby, which touched my heart. We have many more plans, hopefully we will be able to come back to them again very soon”.

SHAGORIKA DAS MEMORIAL CHESS TOURNAMENT 2026

A wonderful 'Tree Introduction Program' was organized by the Bangladesh Science Popular Association at Ramna Park in Dhaka. Students from Jago School, Milestone School and Sohag Swapnadhara Pathshala participated in this special event of hands-on learning from nature.
Students today had a different class amidst the vast trees of Ramna Park, away from the busy city traffic. In addition to identifying different species of trees, they also learned detailed information about the characteristics of those trees, their medicinal properties and their importance in protecting the environment.

Such an event to instill a scientific mindset among students and teach them to love nature is truly commendable. Hopefully, this acquired knowledge will help them become environmentally conscious citizens in the future.

A special awareness meeting was held at Swapnadhara School on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with the participation of the School Management Committee (SMC), teachers and students. This meeting was conducted under the ‘Urban Climate Resilience Wash for Vulnerable Community’ project of World Vision Bangladesh.

The main topics of discussion of the meeting were to make students aware of the physical changes or health risks during puberty so that they do not hide information out of fear of public embarrassment. During this special time, how to maintain personal hygiene and come to school regularly with confidence was discussed in detail.
Emphasis was placed on creating an environment where students can talk openly with their female teachers (Miss) without hesitation and seek necessary advice if they have any problems or doubts.

The need to wash hands with soap before every important task and at every step of personal hygiene was highlighted as a basic condition for staying healthy.
A request has been made to set up a 'MEH (Menstrual Hygiene Management) Corner' in the school to ensure special health care and privacy for the girls. The school authorities and the project stakeholders have discussed this issue with the higher officials and planned to take immediate action.

This initiative of World Vision will play an important role in ensuring the health of the girls as well as preventing their dropout and creating a healthy learning environment.

The small courtyard of the dreamer was filled with a different kind of joy. The menu had very simple food, porota and dal-bhaji. But that simple food brought extraordinary smiles to a few small faces today. Because, many of these children came to class without eating in the morning. They sit with books open on an empty stomach, learn letters, and dream. Some may have only had a glass of water when leaving the house.

Today, when hot porota and dal-bhaji were handed to them, it felt like the teacher was giving them not just food, but a little love, a little happiness, and the hope and courage to live. The smile on their eyes while eating, the joy and that satisfaction…

To be honest, it cannot be measured in any amount of money. We try to ensure that they get a little breakfast at least once a week. So that their dreams do not get lost while fighting hunger. This small school runs only on the love and support of people. With your little help, maybe these small children will fill their empty stomachs. His happy smile will brighten his face and teach him to dream anew.

You can also stand by them if you want. There is nothing in this world that we have more than the beautiful smile of a child.

** Usually, we serve, Egg, Milk, Fruits, Cake, Biscuits, Sweet or Porota with Dal-bhaji.

Our world, our dreams, our ‘Swapnadhara’.

SWAPNADHARA SCHOOL STUDENTS’ TIFFIN

SWAPNADHARA SCHOOL HEALTH CAMP MAY 2026 PLANT AT LEAST ONE TREE

As important as acquiring knowledge is in student life, it is also important for students to make their surroundings beautiful.

After watering a tree every day, when we see it growing, when we see flowers or fruits blooming, it is quite a joy.

"Trees not only provide oxygen, they have a strange ability to calm people's restless minds. When city dwellers go to a park or garden to find a little peace in the busy city life, trees and a wonderful environment of greenery together bring immense peace to the mind and soul.

‎Trees silently keep us alive, asking for nothing in return. They provide shade in the hot sun, give fruit in thirst, and fill our chest with oxygen." Trees are our faithful friends in all seasons.

Let's plant at least one tree for the next generation. If we take care of nature, nature will also take care of us.

Keeping that in mind, a tree planting class with Swapnadhara students.

The month of ‘Jyishtha’ (May-June) means when, suddenly, the sky becomes cloudy and it rains heavily. Areas like Duaripara get flooded and the dirt roads get muddy.

On such days, people do not leave their homes unless absolutely necessary. But just then, a different scene appeared. In wet clothes, with muddy feet, and books pressed against their chests, some children are walking towards school. None of them has an umbrella in their hands. Yet, they had a strange dream in their eyes. They are getting ready to go to the “Sohag Swapnadhara Pathshala” school to study. Because they know that poverty can stop people, but not dreams. The rain has soaked them but is encouraging their willpower with joy.

A little girl is holding her books wrapped in polythene to her chest. A boy is walking barefoot with mud, but still has a smile on his face. It is as if they all want to say one thing to life - “We will never give up.”

These children of Sohag Swapnadhara Pathshala do not just come to study, they learn to struggle every day. They may not have enough food in their homes, new clothes, or even an umbrella. But they have a beautiful future, a dream of studying and growing up. This rainy morning proves once again that dreaming does not require money, it only takes willpower and effort.

These small fighters will one day change society and give light to the country.

"It is impossible to stop students who can fight for education regardless of the storm and rain."
